Wake Forest has changed a lot in the last ten years, and we have watched most of it happen from the job sites. What used to be a small town built around the old college campus and downtown White Street is now ringed with new subdivisions stretching toward Rolesville and out along Highway 98. If you are looking for a pool builder in Wake Forest, that growth actually matters, because a pool built for a brand new lot behaves very differently than one built in an older neighborhood near Joyner Park, the same contrast we plan around for pool renovation projects in Raleigh.
NOAT Outdoor Living LLC has been building pools, patios, and outdoor kitchens out of Raleigh since 2015, and Wake Forest has become one of our busiest service areas. As the only Desjoyaux Pools USA dealer in the Triangle, we handle everything from custom concrete pools to fast-install fiberglass systems, and we do it with our own crew, not a rotating cast of subcontractors, the same crew behind our pool renovation work in Rolesville.
A lot of the newer developments around Wake Forest, places like the subdivisions off Forestville Road and out near Heritage, are built on lots that were graded and filled within the last few years. That fill dirt compacts unevenly, and if a pool contractor does not account for it, you end up with a deck that settles or cracks within a couple of seasons, the same issue we watch for on pool renovation projects here in Wake Forest. On the other side of town, older homes closer to downtown and Flaherty Park often sit on more established soil but have mature trees whose root systems complicate excavation.
Either way, the fix is the same: test the ground before you design the pool, not after, the same standard behind our pool renovation work in Willow Springs. That is standard practice for us on every pool installation we run in Wake Forest, whether it is a small plunge pool or a full custom build with a sun shelf and spa.
We design and build custom swimming pools shaped around the lot you have, whether that is a large new-construction yard or a smaller established property closer to town, much like the work we do as a swimming pool contractor in Apex. Most projects run $75,000 to $150,000 and take one to three months to build once permitting clears.
As a fiberglass pool installer and Desjoyaux dealer, we can typically get a fiberglass shell installed and plumbed faster than a traditional gunite build, similar to our experience as a swimming pool contractor in Cary, which is a big reason it has become the most requested option for Wake Forest families who want a pool ready for summer, not for the following year.
Wake Forest has a mix of older pools that came with resale homes near downtown and pools installed by builders during the early 2000s boom. Pool resurfacing, updated coping, and full pool renovation are common requests once that original finish starts chalking or cracking.
We build the deck, patio, and outdoor kitchen space around the pool as one connected plan, not as an afterthought bolted on once the pool is already in. Paver decking handles the clay soil around Wake Forest better than poured concrete in most cases, and we will tell you honestly which one fits your yard.
I have poured more compacted fill test pits in the new Wake Forest subdivisions than anywhere else we work, and it almost always changes the footing plan before we pour a single wall. That is not something you learn from a catalog; it is something you learn from doing this work in this town for years, much the same as our pool building experience in Raleigh. We are licensed and insured for pool construction across Wake County, and every build we finish comes with a written workmanship guarantee.
We are also honest about the calendar, and about how it compares with our pool building timelines in Rolesville. Wake County permitting on a pool project typically runs one to three months, and right now new builds are booking three to six weeks out from the first walkthrough.
